Ray's Story
The following is not very personal, but since I already had this written for business -
Ray's initial career path involved applying his advertising degree from Michigan State into practice during a two year tenure with the Leo Burnett advertising agency headquartered in Chicago. There, Ray entered into the Account Executive program, serving initially as Marketing and Advertising Research Analyst on the RCA, Kellogg, Swift-Eckrich and UNOCAL accounts.
A desire to find an outlet for the creative streak within, led Ray to a half-dozen years on the creative and production side of business to business communications. Following a brief career freelance producing projects with several film and video production studios, Ray became Sr. Producer for the world's largest trade association, The National Association of Realtors. Ray oversaw the development and production of dozens of membership communications, and national/regional conferences around the country. Ray was an integral member of the planning team that designed and built a $1M video production and editing studio.
First as a client of AGS&R Communications, and later offered a position as Sr. Film and Video Producer with the largest business communications firm in the mid-west. Ray put his experience to work on more varied and substantive business meeting, film, video and multi-media projects. His experience broadened to include new clients - Steelcase, Brunswick, UNOCAL, The State of Illinois Dept of Commerce and Community Affairs, Chicago Board of Trade, Northwestern University, Star Kist and Phillip Morris. Several projects were recognized for "Creative Excellence" at industry communications festivals.
His years of exposure to clients and their business issues, while overseeing the technical, creative and project management functions, prepared Ray well for the next evolution of his career - Sales and Account Management at AGS&R.

fforts for an industry-recognized media and event production company - Chicago Multi-Media. In his three years as V.P. of Sales, Ray significantly increased sales. Successfully meeting client needs was paramount to Ray, and often that required searching the marketplace for new resources, technologies and communications expertise. His newest clients included Household International, McDonald's Corporation, Sara Lee Bakery, Dana Corporation, Zenith Data Systems and FMC Corporation.
Buoyed by the success of his work with an increasing number of high profile clients, in 1990 Ray took on the biggest challenge of his professional life - an entrepreneurial plan to launch his own communications agency - NewVision Communications, Inc. Dedicating the firm to problem solving, quality work and customer satisfaction, services were expanded to include integrated media and production, incl. print media, trade show media, exhibit design, and sales incentive projects.
Ray independently serves many of his previous clients, in addition to new customers, including Discover & Company, Claire's Stores, Navistar (International Truck), Sears Brand Central. Projects include retail training for US Cellular, a cross promotional video for Bigsby & Kruthers featuring Michael Jordan, sales incentive direct mailers for UNOCAL, a direct marketing video for Stimsonite highway reflective materials products, trade show booth fabrication and media for hospital sterilizer client, AbTox, and electronic exhibit media for Brunswick's 150th Anniversary exhibit at Chicago's Cultural Center.
Recently, Ray started a luxury Life Story keepsake video business called Retrospection Media. Google the name for the web site. Preserving family history was always an interest - so much so that video interviews were done with his parents and in-laws. Thus was born the idea for Retrospection Media.
Ray and his wife, Kati, live in Chicago and are proud parents of a wonderful son, Ryan (29) and daughter, Danielle (26). Ryan's passion is horticulture. Danielle works in social media at The Mirage in Vegas.
