My Pets
In August 2004, we lost our 14 year old Cocker Spaniel, Christian. He had a great personality, and loved his tennis ball.
Travis (so named for the county in Texas where I lived much of my life) was born in 2000 on my dad's birthday, Dec 18. He is a half Husky, half German Shepard mix that we adopted Feb. 12, 2001.
On July 14, 2003 we adopted 2 "rescue cats" - Sigmund and Freud (we did NOT name them <g>). They are 7 yo brothers - Sig is grey short-hair and Freud is black medium-hair. Both are loving, demanding cats.
My Job
I work for a university in Durham, NC as webmaster, media designer, net admin, and distance education coordinator. My job is to support the School of Education half the time, and the Visual Impairment Training Program (VITP - they teach graduate-level students to work with visually-impaired children and adults) the other half. Because of the dual roles I have offices both at the university in Durham and at the school for the blind in Raleigh.

Education departments as well as the VITP, publish PR material for both, maintain the School of Ed's web server and iTunes U server, design and maintain the School of Ed's website, and the VITP's website (all sites are ADA-compliant). I also develop courses for the VITP and assist in an adaptive technology course when offered.
My Leisure
A lot (too much) of my time is spent online either in World of Warcraft (WoW) or in SecondLife. When I am not engrossed in either, I spend time working in the yard (the drought of the past 2 years has curtailed that need greatly), working around the house (new fence means a lot of painting), or traveling to Disney, where we own vacation property (Disney Vacation Club is awesome). Occasionally, I even find time to watch one of the 700 DVD's and Blu-ray discs I own or HD Satellite on my Sony HDTV.
I am really happy with life (although not thrilled to be now over 50 <g>)
