Ray's Story
POST-REUNION UPDATE: It was terrific! Seventy-something classmates (almost a hundred people altogether) had a great time renewing old friendships and starting new ones. I posted a sampling of pictures on Evite and sent links to ALL the pictures to those for whom I had email addresses. Since a lot of classmates have been checking out my Profile (probably because of the pictures I've been posting on Facebook / Evite for our upcoming 50th Reunion), I figured it's time to actually say something here.
After PP XII, I attended Rutgers-Newark. There I joined Kappa Phi fraternity where I majored in intra-fraternity sports, partying, and creating dozens of friendships that thrive to this day (including our classmate, Rols Basinski). Oh, and I also majored in History, although it wasn't until 1998 that I eventually graduated.
I attended Woodstock thanks to an invite from Pete Scilla who was a) in PP XII's Class of '69, b) formerly a brother-in-law (his sister Sue deserved so much better than I was at the time), and c) is currently a fraternity Brother.

he Prudential Recreation Association of Florham Park), Home Life Insurance Company, a couple of consulting firms that have since gone out of the pension business, Hoffmann-La Roche, and Milliman consulting. That last company decided to retire my number in July, 2017 and, since then, I have been keeping busy by working on 50th Reunions for my frat and Pope Pius, editing videos of a friend's wedding, going to dozens of baseball games with my bobblehead collecting son Ryan, and taking advantage of my Netflix subscription.
I've been married to my soulmate (sometimes referred to as "Sue #2") since 1981 and we have two boys: Stephen (Cornell, Engineering, 2008) who lives in Florida, and Ryan (Roger Williams, Criminal Justice, 2011) who has returned to the nest for the time being. Although still a lover of Classic Rock, my iPod includes folk, country, alternative music, and today's pop.
I am a voracious reader of everything from newspapers (Star-Ledger, Washington Post), magazines (Time, Sports Illustrated), and books (Stephen King, thrillers, mysteries, biographies, humor),
At the risk of alienating some of my friends, I also support common sense gun legislation (universal registration and background checks, no assault rifles, high capacity magazines, or bump stocks). You'll find a "Hate has no home" sign outside my door and, despite my wide-ranging sense of humor, don't bother sending me any jokes that are racist, misogynistic, homophobic, or based on truly fake news.
My motto is one my saint of a Mother infused in me since I was old enough to understand speech: Treat others the way you would like them to treat you.
