Ray's Story

Life Well many things have happened to me in my life since Roane Co High School.Lots of ups and lots of down but I cant complain. Most of you may remember me as a guy with a bad attitude and looking for trouble.Well maybe mostly some of the guys remembered me as a guy with a bad attitude but then there were a few I made friends with, now with the girls yeah I was probably a clown Ha!!Actually I was a nice guy,I just didnt want people to push me around.Anyhow, for starters dont go looking in your annual book looking for me,as you may not remember me graduating with you.I didnt. I actually quit school went to Roane State and got my GED before everybody graduated....Hmmm.Now I remember some of the guys at Roane State was trying to figure out how I did that!! Anyways,Heres whats been up with me.I was studying for Electrical engineer at Roane State but never quite finished. So in 1983 I went for electrical training at a Job Corps in Prestonburg Ky.Also I took Small Business management(which was a big plus for me later on)I graduated in less than a year.I came back to Kingston and worked at the Cracker Barrel for 2 years in Harriman.1986 would be the big change in my life.I got a job as a military contractor for a major aircraft company in Texas.I wired up military aircrafts for nearly 20 years. But in between that time I had my own businesses as well.My proudest acheivement would be owning and running a Corvette repair & custom shop.I could say at one point I (WAS) a millionaire.I had 3 Corvettes 20 rental homes and life was good. But all good things must come to a end.I am not loaded anymore but I really dont care.I am happy and can look back at my life.I went to a reunion in 2001 and it was great to see old friends. Now I am only 44 years old and dont work anymore.I have 2 boys and they are 14 and my oldest will be 17 on 22 of Dec..WOW time flies by!!I have 3 stepchildren in which 2 of them are mentally challenged. My wife is v...Expand for more
ery sweet and very good to me she is 29 years old..why she like a old guy like me...hehehe. Of course like I said I had my ups and downs. As it turned out I was born with Usher Sydrome.(Never knew that till recently). You may recall I wore hearing aids.Well I am now legally blind too.But I dont worry.I am still happy.I did alot for my life.I cant complain. I'd like to make a list of all the aircrafts I ever worked on in the last 20 years.(1)T-38A(2)T-37B(3)T3A Slingsby(4)RC-135= RJ15 & RJ16(5)P3(6)UH-60 Blackhawk(7)SH-60 Seahawk(8)AH-1W Super Cobra(9)UH-1N(10)T34.......Plus a few more I cant list because of security reasons but its been fun and interesting. Out of the 20 years I only worked for 3 aircraft companies.I worked for (LSI) Lear Siegler 11 years,Raytheon (and E-Systems) 7 years and Northrop Grumman 2 years. With LSI I worked at the famous T-38 & T-37 training facility Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio Tx.Then I went to work for Northrop for 2 years on the T3A Slingsby in Hondo Tx.Then from there I ended up at the Corpus Christi Army Depot with Raytheon. This is also known as CCAD,the worlds largest helicopter repair facility.(If you look at some of my pictures you will see me wearing one of the shirts with the name CCAD on it) They trusted my work so much that I was basically the only guy that did the Hellfire system for the Super Cobra for 2 years.90% of the helicopters you see in Iraq came from CCAD.When Raytheon left LSI came in and took over and I was employed with them again for a year before I became disabled.I really love living in the Corpus Christi area.Go to the beach when I want and the weather is always nice here. But I will eventually end up moving back to Tn.My account will end soon and if anybody wants to contact me I am reyfeyo at yahoo dot com. Ive had this email for a long time and plan on keeping it too. You can visit me at my-space as well with raystanford as one word in the url.
