Ray's Story
Life
Hi everyone. I can`t believe that 23 yrs has blown by. Where has time gone? But i`m sure you`re all wondering that by now. Anyway, I`m married to Karen Heath, Happily now for 15yrs. We have 2 children Billy, and Jimmy 15 and 12 yrs respectfully. After High School,I`ve had about 5 different jobs, mostly physically demanding like roofing and construction. In the year 2000, I obtained my CDL class A license to drive tractor trailers. From 1989 to 2002 I had a nice union job working in ayer mass at the Martin-Brower Company, working in the warehousing division supplying all of the McDonald`s restaurants with all of their food products. There were about 450 restaurants in all. Anyhow, after Sept.11th, which I`m still pissed about, how can we ever forget? business dropped dramatically, and the company moved out of state, putting roughly 120 of us out of work. From there, I took a job driving heavy construction equipment, and now I`m over at Moore`s Lumber Yards in Ayer Mass. Del...Expand for more
ivering building materials to general contractors and home builders in the Nashoba Valley. Karen put her college degree to good use and is a teacher/supervisor at a daycare center in the town we live in. Our kids are active in sports, as they are both playing baseball and basketball. Believe it or not, we were also blessed with some good fortune. In Feb. of 2001, I took my son Billy to an indoor baseball tryout in Fitchburg Mass. After the tryout was over, we stopped at a store that we had never been in before and I bought two sodas and plunked down 20 dollars for four 5 dollar scratch tickets. We drove home and about 5 hours later I scratched them and one of the tickets was a 1million dollar winner! No Kidding. It hasn`t changed our lives all that much because the payout is over a period of 20yrs. But it does take the edge off for sure. Anyhow it`s been an interesting and intriguing 23 yrs. For now I hope that all is well with each and all of you. Sincerely, Ray Stecchi
