Hello fellow members of the class of 61. Ray Travis here and just letting folks know that after graduation and the summer, I joined the US Army and subsequently spent 9 years in military service, spending 2 tours in Germany with a tour in Vietnam in between. After leaving the military in Ft Gordon, GA in 1970, went to the University of Georgia, obtaining a degree in Civil Engineering and immediately went to work for Georgia -Pacific corporation for the next 36 years. After retiring in 2005, my wife, an Austrian, and I moved to Austria and have been here for the last 7 years. We have 3 children and 3 grand children. Was an avid runner for 32 years, having run several marathons and have now become a rabid bicyclist. Staying healthy and enjoying touring around Europe and basically enjoying retirement.
