ust before I retired, Anneliese and I took a long dreamed of trip to Hawaii for a month (June 29 thru July 27). When we returned I had two days to go before I retired. I left IBM on July 29, right after we turned in our badges and received our parting gift of a 'Cross' gold pen and pencil set. The day before, Anneliese and I, along with the other retiree's, were treated to a marvelous Surf & Turf Dinner. A little over three years later I was a part-time sales associate for Sears Hardware. Our store closed Oct. 30,2005. I worked there the whole time it was open. Actually I helped set up the store, working there for a month before the store opened. I was there from the beginning through the day we closed. I'm still waiting to hear from the Mall Store In Johnson City, NY. Only need to work another year to retire from Sears. Update - I was hired at the Sears Mall Store around the first week of March 2006. I was there about 7.5 weeks when I said to myself, "I don't need this c--p, I'm supposed to be retired." So I gave a weeks notice and left.
