Raymond's Story
Life
Yeah its the one the only! All the rumors were false! After school did 2 years at PG the infamous 13th grade. (Stayed high the entire time!) In spring of 87 I enlisted in the Marines. (Gave up the weed!) Married in December of 91 separated in 2006 divorce is pending also went back to school in 91.Lost 20 lbs that year (flu in Chicago that winter. I quit smoking Newport's that winter too!) that's where the AIDS rumor probably started cause I wasn't a buck soaking wet as it was. Collected some cranking Essence tapes from that year (still got them). Studied Mechanical Engineering and Environmental science at Purdue University(Boilermakers Up!); while working for a large engineering firm in Chicago. Moved back to DC in the summer of 97 with 26 footer in tow, a wife, a 6 month old son, and bad credit. I had one thing on my mind; getting paid. Landed my first IT gig at AOL, then did the .com bounce in northern VA till 2000. It was then I landed the gig of a lifetime at a Israeli BOI-Tech startup.
I was fired while I was on Vacation/Paternity leave (How the hell you gone get fired on your day off Craig?) I got the call when we were bringing my daughter home from the hospital. The next week I started my own consulting firm Which has grown to MORAY Technologies International Inc.(Minority Veteran owned! BooYa) Improved my credit, and went back to school on-line. Got a BS in IT and presently trying to become a candidate for Howard University school of Divinity (Masters of Arts in Religion).
The MARS degree is more of a personal journey for me at the seminary, as I do not desire to be a preacher. Started a Christian production company in 1995 (4th Angels Entertainment; 4thangels go inter this in your browser), and now we have 2 studios one in MD. If you need studio time Holla! I partnered with another brother from this area that relocated to FL after 911, he is into the rest of the music industry and I often teas him by telling him I still don't hold it against him. ished while I'm full time Daddy, to my 7 and 12 year old children, while learning to be an Ex-husband which is difficult at times but I'm cool. One of many accomplishments on this wonderful journey out side of raisng my kids and living my dreams, I was nominated for business man of the Year by the Republican Congressional Committee (And I'm a longtime Democrat!) So you see there is a God; and I finally realized it wasn't me. Holla at a brother when you get a chance it would be good to hear what others have been up to over the last 20.

College

Workplace
I have had many jobs in the last 20 years but I currently work as a part of an outstanding IT Team for myself( if I must say in humility). The Tsunami and Hurricanes of 2004 used my skills to the max. I got back from Katrina and Rita. (Those areas are messed up it's hard to put into put it into words) I got to see my work impact the entire world, not for money, or personal gain, but to simply help our fellow man, and that's why what President Obama is saying about you and I step up.... I can't see that happening now with him leading, We are on the right path now and I hope I live to see us turn it around and move in the direction of a more perfect union. God bless us all (not just America) in these best and worst of times.
