Raymond Hill:  

I'm from West Akron, attended Crouse, West Jr High, South High 67/68 & Buchtel High. 69/70. Graduated in 1975 from the University of Akron with a BA in Psychology and minored in Law Enforcement. While In college I was a para-professional at Summit County Juvenile Court and later a probation counselor until 1979 when I made career changing decision to enter the Insurance industry. Carletta and I were engaged and we both left Akron in 1979. She moved to Chicago to work in banking while I completed my training in Indianapolis for a year. In 1980 we were married in Akron. During my career in insurance, I relocated for new opportunities in Southfield Michigan, Highland Indiana, Arlington Heights, Illinois and finally settled in Chicagoland. where we raised our two daughters who graduated from college and now live in Arizona. Carletta retired in 2017 and I retired after 39 years in 2019. As we approached retirement, we decided to purchase a second home near our daughters in Arizona to avoid Chicago winters and because we realize the importance and value of family closeness, especially during our later years.
