Raymond's Story
Hello all, thought I would bring you all up to speed on the live and times of Ray Armstrong, (as if anybody cared).
After high school, I played around for a little then joined the Army, where I spent over six and a half years. For that time, most people bring home a bear stein, nooo I had to be different. I brought home a wife and two kids. Our marriage wasn't great when I got out and it went downhill from there. Therefore, after 12 years of marriage, she left me with two kids, so that she could go out and do what she wanted to do (party mostly). Being a single father was not easy. To speed things along I got a job a t a local Steel Plant in a town just west of Toledo, Ohio, and have worked there for the past 13 years. All of our children are grown now (25, 23 and 21). I guess that this was not enough. When my younger brother passed away and his son being taken away from his estranged wife, my wife and I stepped in and received custody of my nephew (9). We have had custody of him for over five years now, but he has been a part of our life almost since birth.
While trying to sort out our family affairs I obtained my Associates degree, then went on to receive my Bachelor's degree.
I am in the process of trying to search for a job that will fit my work, life and education skills. Un tilll then I am just trudging along.
