Raymond's Story

1941 just before Pearl Harbor. Received the Congressional Gold Medal, last year on the 10th of December for being a
CAP member 73 years earlier. Roy Rodgers, Ralph Queener and I joined the Air Corps on 25 February shortly after we Graduated. I spent the next 32+ years in the Air Force after we became a separate service. Saw lots of places we

in 1951. Alaska, Germany, Holland, Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam, back to Germany and after 24 moves settled in
Goldsboro, home of the Fourth Fighter Wing as Base Commander. I continue to fly into my 90th year on Gods earth.
I recognize how the Lord has Blessed me greatly for allowing me to serve my Country and accomplish so much in my
life. Our Nation needs a turn around where we get back to the Constitution, the 10 Commandments and respect one another. I am a 20+ gallon donor of blood to the Red Cross, active with almost 30 years of volunteer service to our Base Pharmacy and other civic and military organizations. God is Good! A PhD in the cockpit and a lad from Aliquippa!
