Raymond Overholt's Story
Life
Changed my name from Overholt to Linaweaver after graduation. My step dad adopted me. Served four years in Navy as a musician after high school. I play trumpet...remember? Went to the Navy School of Music in Washington, D.C. And then spent the rest of my tour in San Francisco on Treasure Island. Then I went to University of Illinois and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. During school I married Carol Newman, class of 1956. I deceided that the life of a musician was not for me. tion we came to California and settled in Camarillo a little town 60 miles west of L.A. I ran my own business in land development until retiring in 1988. I am now doing a little consulting work and a lot of trumpet playing with local bands. We have three kids, three grand kids with another on the way and one great grand kid. I have been in contact with Bill Maloney, but no one else from the class of '53. Would love to hear from anyone from South Shore that remembers me. Ray (Overholt) Linaweaver 06/09/00
