Rebecca's Story

Rebecca is from Westcliffe, Colorado. She is married. Her schools include Dryden High School. She later attended Pueblo Community College (Small Business Management, Marketing). She works(ed) at FlicKennel Miniature Dachshunds. TV shows Rebecca likes include The Garden Pantry. One of Rebecca's favorite quotes is:"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3)". More about Rebecca:"I love the Lord Jesus and my heavenly Father. I believe the "trinity" is an invention of Satan, via the Catholic Church implemented at the Council of Nicea hundreds of years after Christ's ascension and enforced upon pain of death (NOT the way of Jesus!), to inveigle himself into the "godhead" so as to exalt his throne above the stars of heaven (Isa. 14:13). Jesus ALWAYS repeated his doctrines for emphasis, but Mat. 28:19 is the ONLY place where he (or anyone else) supposedly commands baptism in three names. All other New Testament references to baptism refer to it "in the name of Jesus/Christ/the Lord." Both Old and New Testaments speak of the Father and the Son, not of a third person. When the "holy spirit" is understood to be the perfect, holy nature and character of Jesus and the Father, all the texts about the power and work of the holy spirit in u...Expand for more
s, make much more sense than some "mystery" concept of one being who is three persons. No one in the Bible was baptized in the name of the Father OR the holy spirit - it has no name - and only Jesus died for us (the immortal Father certainly did not), so his is the only name by which we can be saved. Jesus is not his own Father, just as earthly fathers and sons are different - we have multiplied chapters of "begats and begottens" to prove what the Bible means by Father and begotten Son, in case we had any incorrect beliefs in that regard. Jesus was BORN of his Father, eons before the nativity in Bethlehem - we do not know when or how - but the Bible says it happened, and we have to accept that on faith, just as much as the rest of the Book. I believe this doctrine will be one of the crucial tests of faith in the last days, and its lack of acceptance by most of Christendom will fulfill 2Thess. 2:11 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." (God is not the deceiver, but ALLOWS the deception, the same way he has allowed sin to exist, to show the universe what it would be like if Satan did rule.) I believe we are on the brink of eternity, that the end of the world could and probably will come within the next few years, fulfilling Matt. 24:22 and Mark 13:20, since the growing economic failure, natural disasters, wars, plagues, general acceptance of blatant SIN, etc. are the obvious catalysts for imminent last-day events. "Even so, Come, Lord Jesus!" The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (Rev. 22:20-21)".
