Rebecca's Story
Life
I grew up in Yuma, did grades 1-6 at Palm croft, 7-8 at Woodard, and would've graduated from Class of 1979, but instead moved to OK with my family. Got my G.E.D. and EMT-Paramedic in Oklahoma City, OK. I worked with AM-CARE, 1985-1990, and somewhere in that time period, earned my Rescue SCUBA Diver, Dive Medic, and Lifeguard certs.I then moved to FL where I worked with Monroe Co. (Florida Keys) EMS 1990-1995. During that time, I worked the ambulance in Pres. Bush's (1) motorcade, had a beautiful baby boy, Zachary Jefferson (now 15...damn I'm old) survived/worked the aftermath of hurricane Andrew, did medical stand-by for vice pres.-elect Gore, (snubbed him for snubbing my volunteer Fire guys)was on rescue team for the True Lies movie set, got a tattoo (back of neck...white rose with red tips from a poem that a friend wrote for me...very cool), had a gorgeous baby girl, Alyssa Jaquelin (now 12...OUCH...12!...) Anyway, found out she has autism, and moved back to OK because my family's here. My immediate family (besides my kids) is, Jack & Shirl...Expand for more
ey, parents, I'm the oldest, then Lenny, my ex-brother...(yeah! ex! he's 43) Susie RN-Paramedic (41) Bethany (36) and John (29). During my Jr.High & High school days in Yuma, I mostly ran around with the Tami & Beth R. girls, Misty M., Kathy N. lived with us a couple of school years between 6th & 10th grades, so she was more like family, we didn't hang much at school, but we were pretty close for many years. Most of my other friends were older, and out of school already. I spent a lot of time at the Golden Cue playing Foos ball, and at the river, the wash, and the point in the summer. I'm getting back from hip surgery (remember the brace on my leg & crutches all through the 3rd & 4th grades?...anybody? NEVER had another problem with it, until I hurt it working and it just wouldn't heal right...Replaced it...OWW! Anyway, I'm back, & feisty as ever! Fear Me!! (kidding, I'm practically harmless) AND totally out of touch with everyone I ever knew in Yuma...so, C'mon...some of Y'all throw me a bone here, I don't care if we were "friends" or not..WHAT'S UP? .
