After high school decided to get married and start a family and had my daughter the year after graduation. I put my education on hold and shortly thereafter I was divorced. I enjoyed being a Mom and fortunately met a wonderful man and remarried several years later and started family #2. Fortunately, my daughter and stepson were only four months apart and had grown up together as brother and sister from the age of two and that made life easier when their brother came into the picture. However, our son, Niko, had been diagnosed at the age of 15 months with Tay-Sachs disease and we were faced with the challenge of taking care of a terminally ill child and all that entails from diagnosis to ultimately losing our beloved angel. Since that time I have had to pick myself up and dust myself off and went back to school and worked my way up from a CNA to an administrative medical secretary and now I am in my current role as a Program Director at a Major Medical Center in the Southeast.
