Rebecca's Story

I attended Lakewood Elementary School (1st thru 6th grade) and Dan D Rogers Elementary (when they still had 7th grade in Elem School). I was all set to go to Hillcrest High School when my family moved to East Dallas so I graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas in 1966. I attended Eastfield College and I graduated from Richland College with an AA in English and graduated from UTD with a BA in Sociology. I worked in Retail Sales, Human Resources, Administrative Office, Engineering Company Software Librarian, Senior Technical Writer and Manager at Texas Instruments Inc., i became a Realtor in AZ and continued with Real Estate at Coldwell Banker APEX in Richardson,TX. I am a widow now after 35 years of marriage to a wonderful man. i lost him in June of last year, but i am still trying to cope. ghter, Jennifer (a 3rd grade Austin schoolteacher), has been on the news recently about her Garage Neighborhood Library in Austin, TX. i have 2 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. My oldest daughter is an office manager and homemaker. myM My grandson got married in March of 2021, We all made it through the Covid pandemic, thank God. I am heavily involved with special needs disabilities, Autism, ADHD, and Bipolar issues. I have done my share of caregiving and been involved with a variety of health issues in my family so I know how stressful health challenges can be. Other interests are Music...Rock n Roll, Heavy Metal, Blues, Folk, and Renegade Country. I also love movies, dancing, hiking, gardening, good conversation discussing social issues, politics, & current events and just enjoying and appreciating life in these crazy times! Life is so short...we all need to appreciate every moment!
