Rebecca's Story
Life
Hello friends! I can't believe it's been so long since I've seen any of you. It's amazing how quickly time passes as we get older. For those of you who are wondering what "Rebecca" has been up to I thought I'd brief you all quickly. I've been married almost 10 years now. YIKES! ;-) I work as a nanny full-time, but my REAL job is working for a nonprofit org. called Sea Shepherd Conservation society. I am dedicated to saving whales, dolphins, and seals. This is my passion in life. I've met so many wonderful people volunteering for Sea Shepherd. I have had the honor of working hands on with marine wildlife. I have come to understand these intellegent creatures. I spend most of my free time out at sea observing them. I've seen 60-90 Ocras in one area off of Vancouver Island in Canada last summer. eds of Gray whales over the last few years. I am going to Alaska hopefully this summer to see the Beluga(white whales) whales. I want to see if I can help protect what little of them we have left. I can go on and on, but I think you get the picture. It's so rewarding on a soul level to know that I am helping save our oceans. I've seen a lot of ugly things in my lifetime. I have grown in so many ways since i left school. Things weren't easy for me at all, but I've found myself....finally.
You might remember me as shy, but I assure you I've come out of my shell. I am very direct and almost too blunt. ;-)
My husband and I love to travel. We recently got back from Australia and are planning on flying to New Zealand this fall.
