Rebecca's Story
Married in 1992 to Randy Carmicheal. Widowed in 1994 and I raised Randy's three children, Crystal, Courtney and Randy. I married again in 2000 to
Paul McLaughlin and we have one child together, Anna McLaughlin (9 yrs. old). Paul's two children, Kessler (20) and Lacey (18) are really enjoying living here
in Texas.
Kessler was diagnosed here in Texas on July 14th, 2006 with leukemia (AML over CML). He is currently in remission. Kessler was in the Broadcast Media class in high school and also on the debate
team. Kessler is attending SHSU.
Lacey is 18 and on the Magnolia High School drill team.
Lacey was Kessler's bone marrow donor in 2006
which saved Kessler's life.
My oldest daughter Crystal is 29,
married, and living in Pennsylvania with her husband Michael. Michael
is in the U.S. Army and served in Iraq. Crystal
lived in Germany while awaiting Michael's return. She
graduated from Missouri S & T in December 2010.
She has been recently accepted by a Physician's Asst.
program in Pennsylvania.
Courtney is now 28, married in 2008, and recently graduated Medical School
(Baylor College of Medicine in Houston). Courtney's...Expand for more
residency will be with Baylor and she will work at Texas Children's Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital for the next three years. She is specializing in Neonatology. Her husband Thomas works for the Harris County Coroner's Office.
Randy is 25, enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Randy recently received a promotion and will be stationed out of Memphis, TN. He has visited numerous countries and has experienced so much in a short period of time. We are so proud of him.
Anna is 10, enjoying school and her
friends. She looks just like her dad (and has his personality!!!!!) She
loves the outdoors and spending time with her family. She is such a joy
and has a wonderful sense of humor.
I worked for Commodity Control Services for eighteen years and I am currently a homemaker. I volunteer and work part-time at our church, Fellowship Of The Woodlands. I enjoy spending time with my family.
Paul is working for McCoy Drilling and Completions. Paul recently received his masters degree in computer Information systems He is very busy but still finds time
for his family.
We are currently living in Magnolia and enjoy being away from the "big city"!
