Hmmm...story. I have the best job on the planet. Preparation for this job was long and arduous: 4 years at Cornell University, finishing with a degree in Asian Studies, with a focus on South Asian religion and anthropology; 3 years as an environmental consulting professional, another 2 years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica (where my Nepali language skills did NOT come in handy) followed by grad school and 4 years of teaching in inner-city Oakland CA.... but it was all worth it to finally realize my lifelong dream of becoming...a homemaker and homeschool mom. We live in Wilmore, KY, where my husband will soon receive his M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary and then, seriously, only God knows where we're going. My daughter Elena is 10, in 5th grade, and continues in martial arts and ballet, my son Joshua is almost 6, keeps us in stitches, and continues honing his ninja skills. I am on track to test for my black belt in Tang Soo Do this fall. I've recently taken on a new challenge - evangelism champion for a small Wesleyan church in Lexington, in addition to teaching the 3 -5 year olds at our missional church, also in Lexington KY.
