Life
Married 08-07-77 in San Jose, CA, to Rick Munana, currently residing in Brentwood, CA. Three grown kids: Phaedra, Luke and Laura. Still occasionally play guitar and always love to read good books.
I'm a grandma! My son Luke is daddy to 3 daughters. My daughter Laura and son-in-law Juan have 1 son and 1 daughter. Such joy!
School
K-3rd (1959-1963) Oster Elementary, San Jose, CA. Best Friends: Tammy Tula, Linda Hatano, David Tubilino, Marvin French & Mark Longshore.
4th-8th (1963-1968) West Valley SDA, Campbell, CA. Best Friends: Sylvia Sewell, Julie Hallsted, Nancy Wheeler, Gail McCarthy, Regina Hoover, Patty Kim.
I enjoyed playing softball, especially with my neighborhood friend, Marvin French. Clarinet lessons, band, and choir were valued experiences at West Valley SDA. I also learned to play ukelele and guitar, a pleasure for me still today.
Freshman (1968-1969) Laurelwood SDA Academy, Oregon. Best Friends: Sandra-Jeanne Taylor, Marlene Miller, Janice Woodruff and Sheila Netherton. Huge culture change for me (SF Bay Area gal) to do boarding school in rural Oregon. Oh, well. Part of life experience.

Junior and Senior (1970-1972) Leigh High School, San Jose, CA. Best friends: Debbie Barnett from Pioneer High, Carla Campbell, Shannon Mills, Roger Roberts, Jeff Nordahl, Randy Keough, and my sister Melissa Saylor.
College
West Valley College, Saratoga, CA: September 1972, started classes part time, at both the Campbell and Saratoga campuses. I lived in an apartment in San Jose with my baby daughter. I recall receiving several speeding tickets in Saratoga while driving to classes. I enjoyed public speaking, literature, sociology, and all of the early childhood education courses. Received an AA degree in Liberal Arts with the certificate in Early Childhood Education in January 1976. College friends: Cheryl Arata and Lisa Altschul.
Oregon College of Education, Monmouth, OR: August 1976, took an intensive program for certificate in teaching developmentally disabled children.
Soutwestern Adventist University, Keene, TX: 1986-1988, Adult Education Program, Elementary Education Major.
Los Medanos College, Pittsburg, CA. 1999-2001, Business Major.
