Rebekkah's Story
Life
It's hard to believe it's been 23 years since we graduated. All my close friends have already passed away. Sad, so sad. My husband and I live in the home we built seven years ago on a piece of property west of Springtown. I am raising German Shepherd Dogs and my youngest daughter, Jamye, and her son live with us. Jamye is nineteen and working to take care of her son. Chelsea is nearly 22,she married two years ago and works hard, plays hard and lives in River Oaks now. We are all still somewhat close to home. I guess growning up on North Side made us strong with all the changes. My parents still live there, probably will for the rest of their lives. roots. Hard to believe we came from a family of six children the way we all spread out. I spent my entire life working hard and missing my girls growning up and now that they are grown I don't work so hard, but I do wish I had spent more time with them when they were growing up. But, I think they turned out pretty good. I'm proud of my family, all of it, and enjoy being with my grandson when his mom is at work. It's a pleasure I couldn't afford when my girls were growning up, working long hours for three jobs most of the time, until I met David and we married ten years ago. Helping to raise two teens was probably not what he thought he would be doing with his middle age but he did it and it turned out well. We all turned out pretty well I think.
