Regina's Story
Life
I have three gorgeous children. Anthony 22, Alyssa 19 and Nicholas 8. I have been married twice. I'm single now but not looking. I joined the Navy after high school and got to see Spain and Sri Lanka. I got to cross the Suez Canal. I have visited South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Connecticut after high school. I lived in the New York Metopolitan area from 1986 to 2003 and then I moved to Hilton Head Island. I love Hilton Head Island! Hilton Head Island is known for its spectacular golf courses. It is a slower pace here than the NY area. The island is a resort or vacation spot for golfers and families. The year round population is small...about 35,000. I do love the small town atmosphere and I love that I live on an island that is so beautiful. Savannah GA is only a short drive away and I love that it is hot here for most of the year. I live right on the beach. It is awesome!! Life is good!!
School
I remember Mr. Harrington (drama/english)....I could not have become the person I am today if it was not for him.
I hated high school. If it weren't for cute boys at school and the desire to have some kind of social life I don't think I would have gone to school. Drama class made going to school fairly enjoyable. I had a 1.9 GPA. I failed P.E. Who fails P.E.? I managed to. I got my diploma in July. I had to go to summer school and take one class before I could get my diploma. I missed some of the fun but at that time I did not care. I very fondly remember Mr. Harrington and the skit he did about when his wife went into labor with his first child. I wonder if any one who reads this was there too. Do you remember it? It was good and made an impact on me. I still hated high school. It was awkward for me.
College
It took me 5 years at part time to complete a 2 year associate degree but I met a lot of really cool people while I was there. I will be going back soon to complete two more years of college so I can be the first one in my family to get a Bachelors degree.

itary. The military to marriage and not working for 5 years. I got divorced and the first job I got was as a cashier. Boring! I then got a job part time at Blue cross/Blue Shield taping small pieces of paper to a standard size page. Boring! I then got promoted and filed. Boring! I then became a waitress and went to college part time. I did that for 5 years. I got my associates degree but the money was so good I did not immediately look for a "real" job right away. I then got a job at a leasing company that leased office equipment all over the US and Canada. I was a sort of collector, administrator, customer service representative. I did that for a little over three years. In the meantime I met my new husband, got married to him (July 2001) and had a child. I decided to go back to waitressing instead of work a 45 hour work week. Plus commute. Sure the money was good but working in a restuarant is extremely flexible. I went back to waitressing for a little while. Then when my son started kindergarten I had to change my job a little. I started to work at the restaurant as an administrative assistant/trainer. I did that for a little while but after getting divorced (again) I had to change jobs once again to accomodate. I work as an administrative assistant/front desk/customer service/receptionist in a timeshare company. What better job to have when you live on a resort island?
Military
I joined the Navy to see the world. I did get to see some of the world (Spain, Sri Lanka, Diego Garcia, Suez Canal)and I met some pretty cool people too. I was stationed out of Charleston, SC. I went to bootcamp in Orlando, FL. Another reason I joined the military is because my family was not too well off and I wanted to get higher education. I am the oldest child in my family and my family could not afford to help me through college. I joined without telling anyone. I told my family on the day I was to go in. They were happy and sad. I got closer to them (my parents) once I was out of the house. I hated the restrictiveness of the military but everything else was good.
