Regina's Story

Wow, it's really been a while since leaving school. Having to move in December before graduation and finishing up in Longmont was rough. Could hardly wait for the weekend to come to head back into Lupton where the fun was at. The whole, what 10 blocks, to cruise on. See who was in front of Zadel's waiting for a ride or to meet up with everyone else. Making donuts in the middle of the street. Remember the parties out at the boxcar? It got burned down just as we got old enough to be able to join in out there. Hey! How about Sandhill Lake? The ice just wasn't thick enough to support a car...LOL The games and the dances....Good times!!! After graduation I went to Greeley for a few years. Met a guy that would not take no for an answer. Came to find out he was the nephew of Sam Trujillo,Mr. T/science teacher. Moved to Denver, taught in Denver Public Schools, married, had two kids. , got divorced, started working for myself and doing a lot of community service and working with the neighborhood schools. Was on TV quite a bit with kids from the neighborhood doing different do-good projects. I even received the Good Neighbor Award from the Mayor. I preferred my bowling trophies during this time. That was for my down time and for something I loved doing. I met up with an old summer love from when in high school and my world changed again. Because of some medical issues, I had to go to work for someone else. Didn't help that I got injured on the job and had to be reassigned then several years later the department got downsized. Now after another child and 16 + years later, I am single and starting over again. Hope I learned the lesson now that I was meant to be single. Probably not......LOL I'm still out enjoying friends, family, and music. I wonder what the coming years have in store for me .....
