Reginald's Story
After high school I attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. I lasted for 1 1/2 years before injuries and other matters forced me to resign. I then attended Univ. of Houston, HCC, and Univ. of Phoenix pursuing my degree. Along the line I became very interested in computers and became a database programmer/analyst, then a DBA (Database Analyst/Administrator), working for various oil and gas clients. Most recently I worked for a major financial institution as a Vice President and Senior Database Analyst, but I was laid off in August of 2008. Since then I have worked on a contract basis as a consultant.
I have been active at my son's schools over the years with the PTA and I am currently serving as the president (20009-2010)of the PTA at Hodges Bend Middle School. I also serve on the Campus Based Leadership Team for the campus, which brings together administration, community, business and parental leaders together regularly for the improvement of the school.
I also serve on the board of my Home Owner's Association (HOA).
I am a firm advocate of volunteering and parental involvement in the schools.

rase a quote "All it takes for evil to triumph, is for good people to do nothing." If we don't get involved or make a stand, we will lose our young people to violence, crime , drugs, etc. So I believe one person can make a difference, can be a blessing, can be a help, to at least one other person.
One of my favorite ways to relax is to build or rehabilitate old computers to make them useable. I like to help people be able to afford a computer in their household. I also fix and repair computer problems. I am my family's resident techno wizard. Now I find I like to get creative and mod (modify) computers by adding color, see thru windows, lights, and the bling.
While at West Point I discovered a penchant for wrestling, boxing and marial arts. I pursued that and received a degree in Shaolin Chuan (kunf fu) and then I studied Tai Chi Chuan (Yang style). I have taught traditional martial arts and self defense at the University of Houston to kids and adults. How many times have you seen a movie or TV show where the people could have survived, beaten the attacker, or prevented a violent attack had they known martial arts?
