Reid's Story
Life in Telluride has been good, it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I am working for the ski corp, winter a ski instructor, summer golf course maintenance. This keeps me in shape and lets me have the shoulder seasons to travel about the country. I have a commercial building in a small town west of T-ride that has a liquor store and restaurant as renters, with an apartment in between. I used to operate a restaurant, but is was too much work not enough money. This works better. I care take a house near the airport in Telluride., a couple of miles from the resort, where I live. So I have the best of both, rental property and no rent. I have a small enterprise that does window warranty work and some handyman work for a couple of big estates. Free skiing and free golf from my ski co job and extra money from the side work. I was in Sun Valley visiting my family after the ski season ended. My son has a 3 year old boy with another on the way. Reid III is working for the city of Sun Valley as a fireman/EMT and is also the code enforcement officer. He gets all the government bennies and is mentored by an old friend of mine who is the fire chief. I helped him get sober over twenty years ago when we both were on the SVFD. r many years. Not that he hasn:t worked hard to get where he is but Jeff has helped him along with lots of positive attitude. Reid IV is a terror, I told Reid that trouble skips a generation and to look out. I have a cousin in Grand Junction who has a house near the Colorado River on about 4 acres. We have a big garden that we have worked together for about eight years. I spend a couple weeks in the spring planting then go over a couple of weekends every month till harvest. I love hot peppers so we grow about ten varieties, along with everything else you can imagine. I post photos on my facebook page. I keep my Harley there for the winter months so I get a jump on the riding season. My home owner has a BMW R1200, that need exercise, so I have been riding that this spring. Big difference from my Dyna, but lots of fun. So this year I have been riding on the west side of the state on the Harley and Telluride area the BMW. My girlfriend of three years and I split up last fall, I am not too good with long-term relationships. Either that or the right one hasnÿt fallen in front of me. I probably have let quite a few good ones slip by over the years. Right now I am dating a few, but nothing too serious. Itÿs fun being a bachelor and I might be a bit of a loner.
