Reid's Story
My Life
After I was politely asked to leave Ridgewood, I worked with my dad before I joined the Navy. Saw some pretty neat stuff while I was in and a good part of the world. Did some things that most will only dream of. Also saw some pretty awful things and was glad to be part of a group that tried to make them better. Managed to keep my nose clean for 26years and retired in '96 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8). Started my first business after I retired.
My Spouse ............
Met after I went into the Navy. We've been together for 38 years. She is Director of Patient Accounts for an area hospital. She just started with this one after working for another hospital system for 25+ years doing the same thing, only on a much larger scale.
My Pets ............
Well the last cat is now gone and we now have the sweetest English Setter dogs. Maggie is almost 7 and we've had her since she was 9 months. The absolute worst hunting dog on the planet! Totally afraid of guns, thunder etc., but will love you to death. Chip has been added in the last year. Another rescue setter. He was about 9 months when...Expand for more
we got him also. He's a lot wilder than Maggie, but still a sweet dog. A bit goofy sometimes, but sweet none the less.
The Kid ..............
My son is now 35 (hardly a kid) and out on his own since he was 18. Good looking, been married a couple of years now and just had their first son in May. Logan Tyler. His wife, Renee, decided to be a stay at home mom for now. He still doesn't write... Doesn't call yadda yadda yadda. He's now working for a defense contractor in computers.
My Job ....................
How to describe my job hmmmm... Well I don't work as much as I used to, after selling the businesses 4 years ago. Unless fishing counts, then I'm busy as hell! I'm now in the process of starting another business. We will be building golf greens and hope to finally have it up in the next few months, if the economy picks up. Sooooo I guess you could say that I was retired from the Navy after 26 years, so I could retire from the land businessess so I could someday retire from the Golf business. We'll see.....
Until then I'll continue with the tournament fishing thing and hope to make the rent. HA!
