Rene's Story
I am and have always been a consumate rebel. Although I am a devoted family man, I still maintain a strong sense of independence and will blaze any trail for my loved ones--who I live for.
I am an independent free-thinker and don't always follow the crowd or their philosophies. I tend to come to the aid of those less fortunate even though I am perceived to be a non-conformist and somewhat intimidating.

I have worked as a field hand, a teamster, a long shoreman, caregiver, enjoyed a long-term career in State service. Starting in my 30s I obtained a bachelor's degree in public administration and retired from Porterville State Developmental Center in 1998 as Hospital Administrator.
In closing, I am a published poet and continue to write often. My life is displayed on my multiple tattoos on both arms from wrist to shoulder. As you can see I am and continue to be different and must remain independent until the end.
