Rene's Story
Life
I was married in 1996 and recently moved to Tualatin where we raise our two boys age 2 and 6 as of 2007. I see my mom, Sylvia LaCroix quite often. She very much enjoys being a grandmother. She'd love to hear from some of her old students if you want to send an email her way.
College
I transferred from Western and finished my Bachelors at Linfield in 1995. I then went on to study special education at western and earned my masters in 2003. I focused on preventing and solving behavior problems with preschool age children. When I left after...Expand for more
my first year at COCC in Bend I knew no one. I ended up with some great roomates at Western and still keep in touch with a few of them as well as others from college.
Workplace
I worked as a special education teacher in an alternative high school and elementary day treatment before my children were born. I learned alot from the wonderful psychologists I was able to work with in these programs. I now use all I've learned working for Family SkillBuilders. I consult and guide parents on parenting related issues. "You can only use what you know"
