Rene's Story
As we prepare for our Fenger Class of '65 50th Reunion, my thoughts turn to the past. Besides Chicago, I have lived in Champaign-Urbana (16 years), Houston TX (6 months), Sunnyvale CA (6 years), and Los Gatos CA (24 years). During the time I lived in Champaign I completed a BS in Music Ed and a MS in Education. i married David Acklin in 1966 and we had two children, Nanette b. 1971, and Alexander, b. 1974. We divorced after 9 years. I met Mark Ditmanson during our last year at U of I while he was completing an EE degree. We moved to Houston briefly, and then to Northern California's Silicon Valley area. We were married in 1988.

eloping computer industry. I worked in OEM sales for Logitech, (starting as the 20th employee), Acer, Mouse Systems, and several other peripherals and software companies. My career spanned 20 years from 1983 to 2003. Mark and I have a son, born in 1998 when I was 51 years old, and he's the secret of my young attitude! Mark and I started Prompter People in 2003, and Flolight in 2008. Both companies manufacture and supply the needs of video and photography pros and amateurs. I retired from full time work in the companies in 2008.
We love to travel. Although we are restricted by school schedule, we still find time to indulge that passion. This year we are adding India and Dubai to our travel list. Looking forward to seeing my classmates at the Reunion in 2015!
