I was married a year after graduation, but have no children. I worked in the Foreign Language Department at NIU while my husband was finishing his Masters Degree, and then worked 13 years for Greenlee Textron, a manufacturing company in Rockford IL, where I was Executive Assistant to the President. We moved to Champaign where my husband was a partner in a radio station. I was Executive Assistant to the President of a medical equipment manufacturer. After selling the radio station, we moved back to Rockford. My husband worked for the county, and he even met the first President Bush. I worked as Engineering Support Administrator for Envirovac Inc. (later Monogram Systems) that manufactures the vacuum waste and potable water systems for airplanes. After being there almost 10 years, I was recruited in 2008 by B/E Aerospace, which wanted to start their own division in Rockford to compete with Monogram. I was Document Systems Supervisor (the FAA requires full traceability and configuration control of all engineering drawings and documents for products placed on commercial airplanes, of which I am responsible).
