Reta's Story
Writing is not my specialty, so you'll have to go with the flow of the story to get an idea of life in the fast lane. Did you ever remember the song Mel (Mels Diner) with the waitress FLO, would say "when donkeys fly"? You could say that when Mel sang that song,' Drop kick me Jesus through the goal post of life', I landed first in Klamath Falls, OR for about 20yrs, then I was dropped kicked ito Dayton, OH, 445 infantry division, Orval wright the Wrigh brosthers city of flight, Pres Bush's Peace talks and summits, nothing going on there but wathcing the snow fly and the circadas crawl out of the ground. I saw Rednecks and Briars, GM and blue color. living their dream, cause they did not know any better. I stayed in dayton for another 18 yrs achieved my MSN as a Nurse Practitioner. I took care of my mom until she passed. Well, Dayton is where I said good by to my mom and dad. They have taken a celestial vacation. I Don't expect that mom and dad will be back any time soon... and then, I moved back to Oregon, cause I really miss all of you....Expand for more
....home sick, not in the least, you do know this life is just a fleeting moment in time, like dew that covers the ground in the morning and is quickly evaporated from the warmth of the sun. (someone thought that was global warming) , but, Oregon has the most beautiful scenery and the freshest air. I live in Longview, WA for now....any one remember Vining's Accordion studio, or Caveman princess 1970, mom signed me up for that one, I was such a wall flower, the majority of the students at GPHS did not know I even existed. I did not even know the guy I marched with on graduation. Well, I hope this sets off a tug on the old remote memory system of your brain, if not, perhaps we can pick up from here. I always enjoy meeting new people, with new phrases like, fixins, and arns(iron), jaeatyet (did you eat yet?) and leaving me colder than last's year's birds nest....If you want to know more I could have given you my e-mail but this site will not allow (Froylines school of rulership these are the rules!) lets go for a hike, or raft the Rogue, K?
