Revah's Story
Life
I am divorced and have 4 children ages 12, 25, 29 & 31. I have 3 grandkids, 3, 7,9. I am an Office manager at a Grocery store.
School
I went to Waxahachie High school from 1984-1988. My favorite teacher was Mr. Hancock, although I can't remember now what he taught, I think it was Government. After high school I joined the Marine Corps but when that fell through I went to college for one year. I have recently finished 12 years in the U.S. Army.
I always wanted to be a model when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were right.
If I am at home, I go in my room, close my door and eat a lot of chocolate while watching t.v. or I take a long hot bubble bath. The kids know not to bother me if my bedroom door is closed. But if they know that I am already in a bad mood, they wouldn't want to disturb me anyway.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have patience, good weather, and plenty of sleep to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my sister, Raylene, because I really miss her.. she's been gone over 26 years now and there are a lot of things that I wish I could have told her when she was here. I could have used her advise a lot of times growing up. I believe my life would have turned out different.
If I could improve my home, ...Expand for more
I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a bedroom. My dream home would be brick.
My dad always told me growing up that I would pay for my raisin' and boy was he right. I see my kids do some crazy stuff and I find myself telling them things my parents told me. The biggest thing is when the kids ask me "why" when I tell them to do something, I tell them "because I said so that's why" and I can hear my dad telling me that when I was their age.
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to my parents, then spend the rest on my car, my house and my kids.
My current age is 38. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old and boring. I was so completely wrong.
My best friend would tell you I'm flirty, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy.
My oldest friend is Belinda. We met in 7th grade band. Since then we have never argued over men, money, or been jealous of the other. Since we are so opposite eachother, she was country and I was rock, we just always got along. She's my sista and I love her.
My first job was at Pizza Inn, where I got paid 2.00/hr plus tips to wait on tables. What I remember most about it is I had the same boss that my sister had when she was 16 and I didn't like him. He always compared me to her, and I think that's why that job didn't last. He expected me to be like someone I'm not.
