Life
Hello all former classmates. Sorry I missed the reunion in 2002. I do live in Ontario, so it it is hard sometimes to get to BC. Well, I joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1968, Just before Stan Barclay, who I met in the Golan Heights, Israel in 1989. I served in the air element as a Supply Technician, had various postings in Canada and overseas. In 1975 I joined the Cdn Airborne Regiment as a Paratrooper, spent 4 years with them, and then was posted to National Defence Medical Centre in Ottawa. I have done two tours of the Middle East, Golan and Damascus , Syria, great experiences, the tensions were not to bad then. I got to travel to Egypt, saw the Pyramids, awesome, also travelled Northern Syria, Jordan, France and Germany. I retired from the Forces in July 2000 after 32 years, due to a bad back injury, from my old para days. I now live at my cottag...Expand for more
e on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, I just left North Bay, where I have spent the last 18 years. It was a great career, postings to 1988 Olympics in Calgary in Material Management capacity, security at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal with the Airborne. Postings to London,On, Ottawa, Petawawa, Edmonton and then North Bay. I have just completed a 3 year program In Purchasing Management and hope to work part time on the Island here and hopefully the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. I would just like to say hello to a few old classmates, Jack Hunter, Coquitlam, BC, Vic Couture, the consumate organiser, Dave Young, Wendy (then Sylte), Susan (then Jarrett) and my infamous wrestling coach, oops forgot his name. We had a great school spirit, especially against Burnaby Central. All the best to all, and hope there is a reunion in 2007, imagine 40 years. All the best grads of 67.
