Peggy's Story

Since the change in the high-tech world in the 1990's, I've been working as an Administrative Assistant in other organizations such as Stanford University. In 2006 I moved from Sunnyvale to Watsonville. It's wonderful to walk from my home to Pinto Lake on weekends -- and to visit the beaches in Capitola, etc.
One of the most unusual jobs I've had (in 2004) was at Google, Inc....Expand for more
in Mountain View (for a few months). Approximately 11 other contract employees and I identified parts of books (in a conference room) using a PC. Everyone is nice at Google and the cafeteria is incredible.
Reading continues to be one of my favorite hobbies -- especially biographies and autobiographies. Hiking and taking walks is also enjoyable.
In 1985 I participated in a fast-paced, 3-week, trip to Europe. Although I would have preferred traveling with a friend, all of the people on my trip were friendly. In fact, I'm still friends with a person from Missouri from that trip. I look forward to having an opportunity to travel again.
