Rhea's Story

I went to Hood College after Locust Valley. Predictably studied art and theater, but unpredictably found that I enjoyed business when I took a job to make a little money so I could move into the city. I spent 20 years in the Textile Industry working in operations for mills. After living in the city for many years, Steven and I bought my mother's house in Bayville when she retired. Originally we thought we would only use it in the summer and rent it out for the rest of the year, but somehow we came out for that first summer and never moved back. We have no children, but did get a little taste when my niece came to live with us for...Expand for more
a year and a half. I got to pass her back to her mother just as she was hitting true teen years. I escaped from the coporate world for what I thought would be a short break 15 years ago and also never went back. I have really enjoyed the time and projects I was able to get into. I am currently researching my father's life and artwork for a website and possible book and am working on an idea for a new product. I guess I couldn't run forever. I've had a chance to take some great trips. My sister and I kept my mother's house in Mexico and I try to get down there a few times a year. Steven and I hope to retire there eventually.
