Rhonda's Story
I've never made it to a class reunion, nor have I kept in touch with anybody I actually graduated with. So here's the quick version of what I've been up to since high school.
Adelphi University '73 - '77, BS in Earth Science. Then a year of wondering before doing a MS in Geology at U. of Michigan in Ann Arbor (go blue!). Worked for Conoco, Inc. as an Exploration Geologist in Oklahoma and Texas, got married in 1984 and moved to Colorado. Had a baby in 1985 and moved to Oklahoma (again), then moved to Texas (again) in 1987 and had a second baby in 1988. Got tired of living in Texas so moved to Vermont in 1993. Did all manner of odd jobs while the daughters were in school as well as volunteering as Girl Scout leader and such. Started more graduate study in 2004 and finished a Master of Divinity in May 2008....Expand for more
Approved for ordination by the UCC in June, currently searching for a call.
Still married to the same guy, coming up on our 25th anniversary in April. Oldest daughter now in graduate school, youngest is a junior in college.

Haven't looked at this posting in over ten years! Here's an update: I spent 12 years as the minister of a church in CT. Relocated to VT in anticipation of retiring, and to be closer to a daughter, her husband and our grandchild. Second grandchild is on the way! Still married to that same guy, just past 37 years. I've been working remotely part time for the regional setting of the UCC (theologically progressive, social justice activists, multicultural, celebrates diversity - in other words, the only kind of church I'd want to be a part of).
