Rhonda's Story
It's all life, right?
Since 1979 I've been living in the Pacific Northwest, mostly in the Seattle area. I met my very tall husband Jon at the University of Illinois in 1974, and were married in 1981. We live in Kirkland Washington. We have 2 great kids, Aviva (26), and Anders (12). Following her mom's footsteps,, Aviva got her MBA from the U of O in 2002. Since then she has been living and working in New York City. Anders is in 6th grade, swims and plays the viola (and various fantasy video games). He has no job yet.
After grad school I worked for about 10 years selling software for various Seattle area software firms, including Microsoft. For the last 8 years, I've been the owner and president of an online bookselling company, Global Book Service. I travel quite a bit, which is one of the many things I love about my job. I'm also the co-chair of the Annual Online Sellers' Conference, presented at the Seattle Marriott each summer in collaboration with Amazon.com. If you're an online seller, please contact me about this event...Expand for more

Our household has 3 perma-cats, but we also foster for the local humane society. specializing in very young kittens. In my spare time, I dabble in furniture refinishing, gardening, and cheering for the Mariners. I also do counted cross-stitch. I'm not a gourmet cook, but I can follow a recipe and am good at cleaning up. We love to travel as a family, especially outside the US. For my 50th birthday, we all spent a week in Prague. Last summer we drove all over Scotland. We're planning a trip to Boston for 2008.
Hey, if you were in my high school biology class with Mr Rostvold, I was the one who put the frogs inside the hinged skeleton head. Just in case you wondered how that happened.
What surprises me most about my life is that John Lennon was right. Life is what happens when you're making other plans. Even so (or maybe because of this) I feel really happy with all aspects of my life. I know that I'm a lucky woman.
Please contact me if you remember me and want to chat. Don't hesitate, I'd love to catch up with you!
