Rhonda's Story
Since school my life as taken many paths. Each path was a learning experience that molded me to become the person I am today. Right after school I lived in Lilburn. I worked for a law firm for years then electronics. I eventually moved back to the place I was born which was Marietta/Woodstock. I bought a home there when I was 24. I went back to school and became a P & C Insurance Agent (which I loved) I was very independent and was in no hurry to settle down. But God had different plans for me - I ended up marrying a longtime friend, Tommy, when I was 28. He had a daughter at the time that was 8. So I became a mommy, the same day a wife. I moved to back to Gwinnett. I had my firstborn Madison, which I never knew my heart could hold so my love till I laid eyes on her. Then God came into our lives - Life then took dramatic changes from that point on. If you knew me in school then you know miracles can happen!! The Lord lead me to put my career on hold and we moved to Griffin, Georgia to be part of the ministry in a local church. We built a home out on 5 acres of farmland. I homeschooled the girls and kept busy helping where ever I was needed. I had another precious daughter, Autumn in...Expand for more
2004. She is a spitting image of me when I was little (I realize I have my work cut out for me :)
We recently bought a new house on the southside of Griffin - which is the home of my dreams. I thank God for all the blessings he has given us!!!
Samantha is now 19 and a young adult, which I am proud of. And my other girls are continuing to fill my life with joy and happiness. They are now attending a Christian academy.
I have been working some with a local insurance agency and asking God's will in my life because I have an opportunity to purchase the business. Time will tell.
Unfortunately, I am alittle cloudy on high school days - maybe from to much partying or my age has crept up on me. I remember hanging with Christy, Stephanie, Sissy, Lisa, Tate, Tina, Wayne Upshaw, Jeff, Alan Witcher, Trent (r.i.p), Catherine, Lori and Eric. I know I was wild and missed out alot of true memories and lasting true friends. But I will say that all the experiences I have had in life has made me a stronger person today and has helped me in the children and youth ministry. I feel God had a roadmap for me already laid out - some roads bumper than others.
I thank God for all he has done in my life!!
