Rhonda's Story
Life
I'm a 45 yr old American woman married to a 36 yr old Egyptian man. We married in August 2006. He is a very wonderful man and I'm very happy to be married to him. We got his visa in 11 months which is very fast these days. We are now here in the USA for now. My husband is a teacher of Arabic language, Arabic literature and Islamic religion. I have been learning Arabic language, it is a very hard language to learn but I'm getting some of it.
I have been to Egypt 3 times, the first time was in August 2006 to marry my husband and the second time was in January and February of 2007 to spend sometime with him, the third time in July 2007 to say with him to wait the visa. Egypt is a great country and I love it there. There is so many historical things to see and the people there are very friendly. Alexandria is a very beautiful city and the sea is awesome. country consider Egypt.
I converted to Islam on 14 August 2007, in Cairo, Egypt. I am very proud of my religion and happy for the decision I made in converting.
I have 3 children, 24 yr old daughter, 20 yr old daughter and 19 yr old son. I have 2 step children from my first marriage, 29 yr old step-son and 25 yr old step-daughter. I have 2 step children from my present marriage, 9 yr old step-daughter and 7 yr old step-son. On 13 February 2007 I had my first grand child a girl (named Lorelai Elizabeth) but she didn't make it and that has been very hard on our family. My oldest daughter got married in June.
I have a wide varity of music that I like. Egyptian, Islamic Nasheed, Alternative Rock, Rock, Easy Listening. Music is very important to me and I enjoy it very much. My husband mostly likes Classical music so we have a very different like of music but tollerage each others musical likes very well.
