Michael's Story
Academically, one of the worst students in my class...happy to be freed from the routine of going to school.

Race cars, Indianapolis cars specifically, was all I could think about. It was my goal to drive there. I did end up working on the cars starting less than 4 years after graduation. Nursing program in 2004, Pre-reqs and program itself completed in '06. Surprisingly (to some) I was among the top students. Go figure...when I actually applied myself, I could do fairly well in the classroom.
Settled again in Oregon in 2009, married a wonderful (patient and gracious) woman, Waunda, in 2011.
Wound out my relatively brief nursing career and retired at the end of 2020, having finished it in service at (of all places) the Cuckoo's Nest aka Oregon State Hospital in Salem - perhaps a fitting place to complete the career.
Anyway, on with life, trying to serve my Lord as best I am able for the remainder of my sojourn here.
God bless y'all...Love and peace 🕊️
