Rich's Story
Life
I spent 4 years in the US Navy after graduation. After the Navy I've worked in the Computer Industry for the last 25 years, with Digital Equipment, Micron PC, Electronic Data Systems, and currently Vicor, Inc. I have been married twice and have seven children. Ages 28, 25, 23, 21, 20 and two are 18. I have a 3 year old granddaughter, and a 1 year old grandson which are the center of our lives these days. My wife, Cindy is the love of my life. I am also a member of the Manchester Elks Lodge. Do a ya hoo search to find my email.
Workplace
I have been working in Computer Service, System Admin, etc. in the Computer Industry since 1979. Currently, I am an onsite service rep for a computer company out of Richmond, California, although I am onsite at a major bank in Fremont, CA. My first company was Digital Equipment Corporation which was bought out by Compaq and then by Hewlitt Packard. Next I went back to Idaho and worked for Micron Com...Expand for more
puter. I enjoyed my time there, but it's hard to support a family on Idaho wages. I then came back to Missouri and worked for Circuit City for a short time while waiting for something better. I then went to work for Electronic Data Systems where I was a System Administrator/Project Manager. Which brings me to my current company I mentioned earlier.
Military
I spent 4 years in the Navy. In that time I was stationed in San Diego, CA, Great Lakes, Il, Norfolk, VA, and Philadephia, PA. I spent most of my tour on the USS Claude V. Ricketts, a guided missile destroyer. During that time I visited 17 countries on 5 continents. I also met my first wife (Big Mistake), which is why I now have a second wife. I also spent a year in the Active Naval Reserves in 1981-1982. I was able to do my two weeks duty in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
My daughter Jennifer spent a year in Germany in the U.S. Army, in a place called Rose Barracks, in Vilseck, Germany.
