Rich's Story
Life
Since 1989, have lived in Palatine, Illinois. Married 38 years to Linda. Our children: son Ben (37, school Principal in Glencoe, married to Andrea, a Random House Penguin publishing exec), and daughters Jessica Lee (34, Albion College grad currently teaching Special Ed, living in Jacksonville, FL and married to Navy Pilot/Engineer Travis) and Blythe (27--our budding social media expert and international poet across US and India so far)--and Findley and Willow, the family dogs.
Welcomed Grandaughter Ginny Josephine Lee May 5, 2022. She is delight and we go to Jacksonville often.
Currently retired from Board of Directors for Michigan Education Excellence Foundation, American Center for Mobility, Eastern Michigan University, and Chance for Life.
Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Albion College, life member of the Board of Trustees for United Methodist Homes and Services of Chicago, AIESEC US Board of Directors and the Global Advisory Council for AIESEC. Retired Chairman for a Capital Fund called Grow Michigan. Serve on the Advisory Board for SenSy, a cybersecurity services firm.

Left PricewaterhouseCoopers (sort of a sabbatical I guess...) in 1998 to become Corporate Vice President for LAI Worldwide and President of LAIcompass.com. My company was acquired by TMP Worldwide in late 1999 and our on-line assessment is part of the service offering under Monster.com. In January, 2000, readmitted to the partnership of PwC. December 2007, had the privilege of serving as winter commencement speaker at Eastern Michigan University and received an honorary PhD in Public Works. Also received honorary PhD from Albion College in 2009.
Spent 8 years working with Governor Rick Snyder on reinvention of Michigan since January, 2011. Active engagement in Detroit bankruptcy and exit, formation of the Great Lakes Water Authority, education reform, energy policy and government transformation, was the target of a legal witchhunt by Michigan's power crazed attorney general since January 2020 (Flint Water related) and all charges were dropped by the State Supreme Court in 2022 and reaffirmed by that same court on September 20, 2023. Yhe AG announced on Halloween that she was giving up after foolishly spending about $60 million. The system works...slowly but it works.
Live in Ann Arbor, MI during the week and travelling or back in Palatine IL on weekends if anyone wants to visit. Pre pandemic included trips to Cuba and Alaska.
Have enjoyed life's blessings and hope my former classmates have enjoyed life since graduation. Hard to believe the years that passed so quickly from the carefree days of HS and Albion College.
