Rich's Story
Life's adventure did start in Corvallis, Oregon and certainly CHS graduation day in 1968 was special. With CHS completed, it was 4 years at Ore State Univ(OSU) graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1972. After touring Europe from June 6th to Sept 30, 1972, I returned to Corvallis and stayed with my parents for 6 months. And then I was relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I put that engineering degree to work at Motorola, at a brand new facility designing 2 - way police Walkie Talkie (or Handi-Talkie as Motorolans call them) radios. I spent 36 years on that job. way I got married to Linda, an attorney and later Judge, and enjoyed the family lifestyle with 3 kids (including a boy-girl set of twins). I retired in 2009 while Linda continues on the bench. Our oldest is working out of state and the twins are in college for a while yet. Currently my health is quite good, I exercise daily, usually starting with an early morning 8 mile bike ride thru the neighborhood and back along beautiful Fort Lauderdale beach. In the evening Linda and I exercise together. I am hoping to eventually attend a CHS class reunion, perhaps the 45th in 2013 if it "happens".
