Richard's Story

Life To sum up ...Worked at "Family Cirle" store ... got fired ( best thing that ever happened) Enlisted in Navy for a education they promised... they kept their end and I worked on Aircraft electronics.. surprised evryone Went back to college and my life started... Wow!... what a time! My family is set around New Jersey and the state college I graduated from and have worked for the last thirty years. Trenton State College was the best choice for me after four years in the Navy. It was here where I met Christine and we were on and off most of our college years. I say "I chased her until she caught me.." But it was good judgment on my part and we will be celebrating our 30th. We have two kids, Ted is 26 and Kate is 23. They are great and have given us some interesting times. Just like me...Ted is dyslexic... we found this out in the fifth grade, which lead to some interesting and fun times all the way through his college years. I'm very proud of him ...he is as nice as his Mom...full of fun... Most school can't handle kids with learning differences. But Chris made a difference here in our small town of Ewing Township. She started our own support group for kids in Ewing...Chris was the best, every child that needed help... Chris would go to bat for and work with parents and the teachers and face down the School Board...great experience. The kids did well.. I guess I was comic...Expand for more
relief...or just support for her. Ted Finished college at TSC in history and now works for a Computer company because of the many skills he has and not his degree. Kate is the sharpest one and the most musical of the family. She has so much going that if she didn't resemble my mother I would say that she was someone else's child. Kate Graduated from Westminster Choir College, where she had show herself off as person to get thing done.. great wonderful times... She is focusing on "Fund Raising for the Arts" and it is really needed now... Kate is in Missouri now with her beau as he finishes his grad work. I met Chris in between bad jokes as she was walking to the ladies room, needless to say our first meeting was brief. Ha Ha ! Chris is the best, she let me be myself all these years. That should tell you she has a load of patence. One of the nicest comment ever made at our dinner table that shows you what I mean was when Kate asked her Mom what I was like when she first met me and Chris comment hit home to me. Chris said " You see your Dad, well thats the way he was than." My daughter said " Oh my...." and Chris added "Everything I thought was charming than, now drive me crazy"... I think thats a good thing...? Well thats me, all mixed up to go. We having a good time though. This is just a start ...will fill in more later time. Oh! by the way...I do Television...have for 25 years...
