Richard's Story
Left DMHS after 10th grade, went to Tenafly for grades 11 and 12. Attended Bergen Community College, Went to Steven's Institute of Technology graduated in 76 w BS and 1977 with a MS both in Chemistry. Did a Researxh Fellowship for a year In the Department or Urology, Presbyterian Hospital, NYC. Tried to get into Med school, didn't make it. Applied for the USNavy Nuclear Program. am. Requested Submarine Duty. was on the USS Thomas Jefferson SSN 618, got medically disqualified, went to the USS California, CGN-36. Was in the Navy for 4.5 years, worked for GE for 2 years and then got a position at The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission where I administered Operator and Senior Reactor Operator examinations for people who were seeking a License Issued by the NRC, did that for 32 years. Retired in Sept 2017. Sorry if I bored everyone!
