Richard's Story
Life
With my wife (former Mary Tomas) and new baby, I staved off starvation by teaching math in Highmore, then Elk Point. After my Master's degree, we moved to CT, working in the Hamden Public Schools. After a few years, I became their computer guy, teaching part-time at Hamden High, then FT computer. In 1991, I was out-sourced on the computer work, and returned to full-time teaching at Hamden Middle School, teaching 8th grade Math. After a very interesting first year, things settled down. I had some great classes and great students, and some of the others. In my 6th year, I became Team Leader for our group of 6 teachers and 110 kids. Then I retired. We now have 6 grandchildren, ranging from 5 months to 15 years old. We have travelled extensivly in the US and ...Expand for more
had several trips to Europe. We both do photography. We also watch a lot of TV and read. We babysit two of the grandkids when their Mom is working, but only about once a week.
