Richard's Story
Upon graduation I worked for a year ...Then the draft lottery got myself and Ron I joined the Navy and Ron went with the draft in the Army....I was in the Navy from 71 till 86 .... Active duty from 71-75 ..then active reserves from 75-86 I was in communicatons a Radioman..I was stationed in Guam conversing with naval ships off the Vietman coast..I also got involved with the base ball team.. I was later assigned to the USO and played ball for the Navy. Traveled some while doing that ....Got married to a girl from Loveland during...Expand for more
that time big mistake. We had 2 kids. I stayed in the reserves after my active duty came back home and worked at Stearns and Fosters ,, got divorced ..was laid off in 81,,,found new job in 81, at Roosevelt Paper Co in No Ky.. have been there ever since as shipping Mgr..remarried in 83 now up to 4 kids all grown now ..Have 6 grandsons.. Played hard ball for 11 years from 1996 till 2007..hit in the face by a ball in 07 while pitching lost my right eye... Now i excerise to stay in shape and still trying to play this year........
