Richard Castillo:  

After graduating from Cantwell in 1965, I attended East L.A. College where I majored in Construction Engineering. Afterwards I was employed at a major Architectural firm in downtown Los Angeles where I began my career in engineering. I next studied petrochemical piping design in evening classes which open the doors for me at Parsons Engineering Company in downtown Los Angeles. My career at Parsons lasted 40 years moving from Engineering design to Project Engineer and finally to Project Management. I was blessed with a career which included worldwide Petrochemical facility, Infrastructure facility, Procurement and Construction Management. I next moved to Worley Parsons where I finally retired after seven years from the engineering profession. The engineering profession was challenging and gratifying because of the many different types of projects and the opportunity to travel throughout our county and live abroad.
