Life After high school hung out surfed did drugs and basically did nothing constructive. Joined the Navy in 1970, I was stationed in the Philippines for a couple of years which changed my life to this day. I also spent some time in Viet Nam which now enables me to have free health care thru the VA.Ater getting out of Navy found out my girlfriend in the Philippines was pregnant. I had a daughter born in Philippines in 1974,she was raised there I brought her to the states when she was 19. I moved to Hawaii in 1975,got married and had another daughter in 1982.My family and I moved back to Santa Cruz in 1982 and I ended up taking the job at the new Conference center Chaminade where I was the Executive Chef for 4 years. In 1987 I opened my own catering business which did well until the earthquake of October 17,1989 wreaked havoc on the local economy and forced me to sell.
