Richard's Story
Life
I live in Round Rock Texas, a few shakes north from Austin. I have a beautiful Irish wife, one child and a nice house. Been working as a political science professor at Austin Community College.
Way back when:
Served in the Army Rangers (Long Range Patrol) during my tour of duty in the Vietnam War. Someone thought I got killed in action and sent my mom an american flag and my high school placed my picture on the Vietnam War memorial table. It was still there when I attended the 20th reunion. I looked at my picture on the table and thought I looked rather handsome, LOL!!! Since then no one has ever invite me to the reunions, understandably so ....everybody thinks I died in the Vietnam war.

itary I joined the Guard in Austin and served until I became a Chief Warrant Officer 3. It was about this time that I finally had enough and got out. By then I had already gotten my bachelor's degree in History and my Masters in Government from Texas Woman's University with a GPA of 4.0.
My wife and I are planning our 3rd trip down the grand canyon to Phantom Ranch this coming year 2008. Its 7+ miles on the Kaibob trail down to Phantom ranch and 10+ miles back up on the bright angel trail. Lots a fun!! or as my brother puts it, "a walk in the park".
